Res 23-87 RESOLUTION NO. 23-87 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPPORT IN THE CITY'S REQUEST TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO APPROVE A WEEKEND PARKING RESTRICTION FOR A PORTION OF US-1. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach has requested approval by the State Department of Transportation for a weekend parking restriction of a portion of US-1 to extend north from North East 14th Street to Gulfstream Boulevard in Delray Beach; and, WHEREAS, certain of the properties adjacent to the proposed parking restriction area are not within the Incorporated Limits of the City of Delray Beach; and, WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has requested confirmation of support for the proposed parking restriction from the local government agency having jurisdiction over the adjacent properties, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, formally requests that the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners pass a Resolution requesting the State Department of Transportation's approval of a weekend parking restriction on a portion of US-1 to extend north from North East 14th Street to Gulfstream Boule- vard; such restriction to be effective Saturday and Sunday each week. Section 2. That the Palm Beach County Clerk's office be directed to furnish a certified copy of the Resolution to the District Traffic Operations Engineer of the Department of Transportation of the State of Florida.
