A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICA-
TION TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RE-
SOURCES REQUESTING AND SETTING FORTH THE NEED FOR FUNDS
IN REGARD TO: DEVELOPMENT OF BARWICK PARK PHASE II.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach is committed to the fulfillment
of a parks program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach agrees to contribute the sum of
$89,982 in raw land towards the State match of $173,964; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach is in need of substantial
financial assistance in order to effectuate the project set forth above
and more fully described in the attached application, which the City
Manager is authorized to submit to the State of Florida Department of
Natural Resources, demonstrating the need for and requesting financial
assistance in regard to the project referred to above being more fully
described in the attached application for fiscal year 1983/84 for the
amount of $173,964,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Delray Beach has by the above state-
ments established the need for the above-described project, and the State
of Florida through the Department of Natural Resources is hereby requested
to appropriate $173,964 for fiscal year 1983/84.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in special session on this the 7th day of
August , 1984.
