Res 05-82 RESOLUTION NO. 5-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING FUNDING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980/81 SAND SEARCH, VEGETATION, BEACH AND REEF MONI- TORING PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida, is committed to a 50-year program of Coastal Restoration and Preservation; and, WHEREAS, the State of Florida Statute 161.091 provides for reim- bursement to local sponsors of Beach Nourishment Projects of 100% of Sand Search costs and 75% of Construction costs, Revegetation costs, and Monitor- ing costs; and, WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida, has entered into an agreement with the State of Florida for reimbursement of the non-federal share of Construction costs, Biological Monitoring and Revegetation; and, WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida, has complied with all stipulations of the agreement; and, WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida, has expended $16,549.75 for Sand Fence Construction; $20,810.00 for Landscape Plantings with Sprinkler System; $21,916.03 for a 24-Month Beach Maintenance Nourish- ment Study; $17,142.84 for Offshore Borrow Area Sand Search; and $7,187.92 for a 36-Month Beach Maintenance Nourishment Study; and, WHEREAS,' the State of Florida share of funding is $66,990.61. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That the State of Florida, through the Department of Natural Resources, is requested to disburse Erosion Control Trust Funds in the amount of sixty-six thousand, nine hundred ninety dollars and sixty-one cents ($66,990.61) for ~eimbursement of the State of Florida share of funding for the Fiscal Year 1980/81 Sand Search, Vegetation, Beach and Reef Monitoring Project.
