A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO
ACCOMPLISH THE HOMEWOOD BOULEVARD REALIGNMENT PROJECT
NO. 12-10-81-DB, IN THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the
CQuncil award a contract to accomplish this Work all in accordance with the
City's specifications and as shown on Drawing No. 81-12-10-04 (4) sheets
dated 5/28/82, entitled Homewood Boulevard Realignment.
WHEREAS, requests for bids were advertised in accordance with the
City's required procedures and only two companies submitted bid proposals as
follows:

Hardrives, Inc., Delray Beach $69,550.50
Campanella Corporation, Ft. Lauderdale $69,677.50
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Office certifies the low bid to be
reasonable and within the range of the City's estimate cost in the amount of
$69,550.50, and the City Manager recommends that the City of Delray Beach
enter into a contract with Hardrives, Inc., of Delray Beach, to accomplish
the subject work all in accordance with City Specifications and as indicated
on said bidder's Proposal dated July 2, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, it is the Council's opinion that the award of this con-
tract would be in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That said contract to accomplish the Homewood Boule-
bard Realignment Project in accordance with the City's Specifications, and
as indicated on said bidder's Proposal dated July 2, 1982, be awarded to
Hardrives, Inc., of Delray Beach, the low bidder, in the amount of
$69,550.50.
Section 2. That this project shall be funded from the excess
Florida Power & Light Company reserve.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 27th
day of July , 1982.
