A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR
THE DEMOLITION OF A BUILDING LOCATED AT 148 SOUTH OCEAN
BOULEVARD, CITY OF DELRA¥ BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it is the reco~u~endation of the City Manager that the
Council award a contract to furnish all equipment, labor, materials, licenses
and permits required to accomplish the subject demolition project in accor-
dance with the City's specifications indicated on the REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
form.
WHEREAS, requests for bids were advertised in accordance with
the City's required procedures and only three companies submitted bid pro-
posals as follows:

Marinello Associates, Inc., Boca Raton, FL $6,795.00
Norene Construction Co., Inc., Delray Bch. $7,500.00
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Office certifies the low bid is
proper in the amount of $1,735.00, which is reasonable and within the range
of the City's estimate cost, and the City Manager recommends that the City of
Delray Beach enter into a contract with Cushing Demolition, W.P.B., to com-
plete the subject demolition project in accordance with the City's specifica-
tions and as indicated on said bidder's Proposal dated July 2, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, it is the Council's opinion that the award of this con-
tract would be in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That said contract to furnish all equipment, labor,
materials, licenses and permits required to accomplish the subject demolition
project in accordance with the City's specifications, and as indicated on
said bidder's Proposal dated July 2, 1982, be awarded to Cushing Demolition,
of West Palm Beach, the low bidder, in the amount of $1,735.00.
Section 2. That this project shall be funded from the Beach
Restoration Fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 13th
