Res 56-81 RESOLUTION NO. 56-81 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE TENTATIVE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FORCE MAIN 80, PENDING ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY CONCURRENCE. WHEREAS, the City Council of Delray Beach, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, deems it in the best interest of the City, to tentatively award a contract for the installation of Force Main 80 to be constructed along Lake Ida Road from N.W. 37th Avenue to the Seaboard Coastline Railroad, and, WHEREAS, on July 1, 1981, the City received the following bids: Barile Excavating & Pipeline $373,019.00 Lake Park, FL Rick-Man Construction $374,666.20 Sterling Heights, Michigan H & H Engineering $375,623.56 Ft. Lauderdale, FL Woodruff & Sons $415,590.40 Bradenton, FL Gateway Construction $434,294.00 Pompano Beach, FL Lanzo Construction $444,678.80 Pompano Beach, FL Southeast Underground $466,246.00 Cape Coral, FL F.J. Siller $498,005.25 Pompano Beach, FL and, WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it is in the best interest of the City to tentatively award this contract to the low bidder, Barile Excavating & Pipeline Company, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a contract for the construction of Force Main 80, along Lake Ida Road from N.W. 37th Avenue to the Seaboard Coastline Railroad,! be tentatively awarded to Barile Excavating & Pipeline Company, the low bidder in the amount of $373,019.00. Section 2. That the funding for 75% of this contract ($279,764.25) is to come from Environmental Protection Agency Construction Grant No. C120653070. Section 3. That the funding for 25% of this contract ($93,254.75) is to come from the 1979 Water and Sewer Bond Issue. PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 14th day of ATTEST: LEON M.
