Res 59-81 RESOLUTION NO. 59-81 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE TENTATIVE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LIFT STATION 50, PENDING ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY CONCURRENCE. WHEREAS, the City Council of Delray Beach, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, deems it in the best interest of the City, to tentatively award a contract for the construction of Lift Station 50, to be located on Lowson Boulevard at the E-4 Canal, and, WHEREAS, on July 1, 1981, the City received the following bids: Boyle Construction Co. $ 777,000.00 Deerfield Beach, FL Koblar Constructors and Engineers $ 845,877.00 Gainesville, FL Lanzo Construction $ 879,000.00 Pompano Beach, FL Widell Associates, Inc. $1,237,000.00 Ft. Lauderdale, FL and, WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it is in the best interest of the City to tentatively award this contract to the low bidder, ~oyle Construction Company, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~LRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a contract for the construction of Lift Station 50, t~ be located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Lowson Boulevard ~ the E-4 Canal, be tentatively awarded to Boyle Construction Company, the I~ bidder in the amount of $777,000.00. Section 2. That the funding for 75% of this'contract. ($582,750.00) is to come from Environmental Protection Agency Construction Grant No. C120653070. Section 3. That the funding for 25% of this contract ($194,250.00) is to come from the 1979 Water and Sewer Bond Issue. PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this 14th day of JUly, 1981. MAYO RTM LEON M.
