A RESOLUTION OF THE' CI%"f COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF DELRAI
BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR' THE PENDING APPLI-
CATIONS OFT HE NEW DELRAY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOR AN ADDI-
TIONAL EIGHT"f BED CAPACITY AND FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A
CA~ SCANNER AND URGING THEIR APPROVAL; PROVIDING' FOR
FURNISHING COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the State. of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabili-
tative Services, has give~ its approval for a new hospital located on
Linton Boulevard west of Military Trail to be. called the Delray Community
Hospital; and,
WHEREAS, National Medical Enterprises, on behalf of said Delray
Community Hospital currently has pending before the Department of Health
and Rehabilitative Services two additional applications, to-wit: a re--
quest for approval of an additional eighty (80) bed capacity for the
Delray Community Hospital; and for the installation of a "cat scanner" in
the hospital; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
believes there is a need for these, additional beds and the cat scanner at
the new Delray Community Hospital and wishes to express- its support for
these two pending applications,
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, hereby expresses its support for the two pending applications by
National Medical Enterprises for eighty additional beds for the new Delray
Community Hospital and for the installation of a "cat scanner" at said
hospital, and urges the State of Florida, Department of Health and Re-
habilitative Services, to approve said applications as expeditiously as
possible.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to furnish a copy of ~his Resolution to the'State of Florida Department of
Health and Rehabilitative Services, and to all other appropriate-public
agencies and officials.
