Res 14-80 RESOLUTION NO. 14-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING ITS SUPPORT
AND URGING SUPPORT FOR ADVANCE FUNDING FOR THE
PROPOSED HIGH SCHOOL TO BE BUILT IN BOCA RATON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
has received a request from a member of the City Council of the City of
Boca Raton for support in seeking advance funding of the proposed high
school to be built in Boca Raton; and,
WHEREAS, such advance funding of the proposed new high school
is greatly needed to alleviate the serious overcrowding that currently
exists at Boca Raton High School; and,
WHEREAS, many of the students who attend Boca Raton High School
are residents of the City of Delray Beach, Florida; and,
'WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
wishes to express its support for the efforts to seek such advance funding
of the proposed new high school,
NQW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, on behalf of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, hereby expresses its support for the efforts to obtain
advance funding for the proposed high school to be built in Boca Raton.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, urges all those public officials named in the list attached hereto
and made a Part hereof to also support said advance funding.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to furnish
a copy of this Resolution to all those public officials named in the list
attached hereto, and to all other public officials and agencies as may be
necessary.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in special session on this the 4th day of
February, 1980.
