A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
420 BATTERIES FOR THE ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS FOR THE DELRAY
BEACH COUNTRY CLUB.
WHEREAS, all the batteries in the seventy (70) golf carts are
defective; and,
WHEREAS, Club Car Co. has agreed to make an adjustment on the
batteries in the seventy golf carts at the rate of $34.35 per battery;

WHEREAS, the price after adjustment of the 420 batteries author-
ized to be purchased in this resolution is $14,427; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the
City Council award a contract for the purchase of 420 batteries for the .
electric golf carts; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it is in the
best interest of the City to award this contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a contract for 420 batteries for the electric
golf carts be awarded to Club Car Co. in the amount of $14,427.00.
Section 2. That the funding for this contract is to .come from
the 1980-81 Delray Beach Country ClUb Operating Budget.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this 8th day of July,
1980.
