A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO
PROVIDE NECESSARY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR BID AND CON-
STRUCTION OF A LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR A MULTI-PURPOSE OUT-
DOOR RECREATIONAL FACILITY AT ROBERT P. MILLER PARK,
LOCATED AT 1905 SOUTHWEST FOURTH AVENUE, DELRAY BEACH,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the
Council award a contract to perform the consulting engineering services in-
dicated above for the proposed lighting system for Robert P. Miller Park's
multi-purpose outdoor recreational facility.
WHERE~AS, Lewis C. Brabham, P.E., of Brabham, Kuhns & Debay Con-
sulting Engineering Firm, has submitted a proposal dated August 5, 1980 in
an amount not to exceed $3,990.00 for said professional engineering services,i
and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer certifies that this proposal is
reasonable and the City Manager recommends that the City of Delray Beach
enter into a contract with Brabham, Kuhns & Debay Consulting Engineering
Firm, West Palm Beach, Florida, to provide necessary contract documents for
bid and construction of a lighting system for the multi-purpose outdoor
recreational facility at Robert P. MilTer Park, located at 1905 Southwest
Fourth Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida, in an amount not to exceed $3,999.00,
Whereas, it is the Council's opinion that the award of this con-
tract would be in the best interest of the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That said contract to provide necessary contract
documents for bid and construction of a lighting system for a multi-purpose
outdoor recreational facility at Robert P. Miller Park, located at 1905
Southwest Fourth Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida, be awarded to Brabham, Kuhns
& Debay Consulting Engineering Firm, West Palm Beach, Florida, in an amount
not to exceed $3,990.00, and
Section 2. That funding for this project shall come from the
General Obligation Bond Issue, Series 1980.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this 26th
day of Auqust , 1980.
