A RESOLUTION OF T~IE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT AN
EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE FACILITY BE ESTABLISHED
AT THE DELRAY BEACH POST OFFICE; AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FURNISH COPIES
OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE U. S. POSTAL SERVICE,
THE POSTMASTER OF THE DELRAY BEACH POST OFFICE
AND ALL OTHER APPROPRIATE PUBLIC OFFICIALS AND
AGENCIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Del~av Beach Post Office does not presently
offer the U. S. Postal Service's Express Mail service; and,
WHEREAS, there is currently a large demand in the City of Delray
Beach for the quick delivery of mail that can be obtained through such
Express Mail service; and,
WHEREAS, establishing such an Express Mail service facility at
the Delray Beach Post Office would greatly benefit the residents and
citizens of the City of Delray Beach; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida,
on behalf of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray Beach,
wishes to formally make the need and desire for such Express Mail ser-
vice through the Delray Beach Post Office known to all appropriate
public officials and agencies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, hereby requests that an Express Mail service facility be es-
tablished at the Delray Beach Post Office.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to furnish copies of this Resolution to the Postmaster General of the
U. S. Postal Service, the Postmaster of the Delray Beach Post Office,
and to all other appropriate public officials and agencies.
