A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
HAMLET DRIVE, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF GREENSWARD VILLAGE
SUBDIVISION, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 29, PAGE 190, OF
THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Hamlet Development Association is the owner of portion of
Tract A, Greensward Village Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 29, Page
190, of the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, Jack Gaines, President of Hamlet Development Association,
!!has made application for a vacation and abandonment of a portion of Hamlet
iDrlve; and,
i WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach Florida,

~!deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Delray Beach to vacate
and abandon said portion of Hamlet Drive,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
!DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
~ Section 1. That pursuant to Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, it is
~ihereby determined to vacate and abandon the following described real
property o
A parcel of land lying in Section 24, Township 46 South,
Range 42, East, City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County,
Florida, being a portion of Tract "A" (Hamlet Drive),
GREENSWARD VILLAGE SUBDIVISION as recorded in Plat Book
29, Page 190 of the Public Records of Palm Beach County,
said parcel being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the aforesaid Section
24, thence with a bearing of S. l°32' 12" E. along the West
line of Section 24, a distance of 1210 feet to a point;
thence with a bearing of N. 88o58'29'' E., a distance of
60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence with a bearing
of N. l°32'12'' W., along a line lying 60.00 feet East of
and parallel to the West line of Section 24, a distance of
69.65 feet to a point; thence with a curve to the left having
a tangent bearing of S. 38o24'22'' E., a radius of 50.00 feet,
an arc length of 45.92 feet to a point; thence with a bearing
of N. 88o58'29'' E., along the Northerly right-of-way line of
Hamlet Drive, a distance of 237.79 feet to a point of curva-
ture; thence with a curve to the right having a radius of
868.51 feet, an arc length of 397.14 feet to a point; thence
radially, with a bearing of S. 25o10' 26" Wo, a distance of
100.00 feet to a point; thence with a curve to the left along
the Southerly right-of-way line of Hamlet Drive, having an
initial tangent bearing of N. 64o49' 34" W., a radius of 768.51
feet, an arc length of 351.41 feet to a point; thence with a
bearing of S. 88o58'29'' Wo, a distance of 236.01 feet to a
point of curvature; thence with a curve to the left' having a
radius of 50.00 feet, an arc length of 46.80 feet to a point
on a line lying 60.00 feet East of and parallel to the West
line of Section 24; thence with a bearing of N. l°32'12'' Wo,
along said parallel line, a distance of 70.35 feet, more or
less, to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 1.506 Acres, more or less.
Section 2. That this abandonment is subject to the following
iiconditions as a prerequisite to its effectiveness:
1. Provide easements for the various existing utilities.
2. An agreement to provide the traffic signal on
Atlantic Avenue at 80% to 90% of total build out
as recommended in the traffic impact analysis
prepared by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
