Res 35-78 Void VOID RESOLUTION NO. 35-78 A RESOLUTION' OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, TO UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE IN SUPPORT'OF HOSPITAL WEST OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, an application for a certificate of need for Delray General Hospital is presently pending before the United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare; and, WHEREAS, a Mr. Manny Segal appeared before the Pal~ Beach County Commission on March 15, 1977, and requested that this Board support the application for a certificate of need for this hospital; and, WHEREAS, information submitted by Mr. Harry W. King, principal planner for Palm Beach County in the Planning, Building and Zoning Department, indi- cates that it is proved to his satisfaction that the present growth potential of the defined service area west of Delray Beach will require a new 150-bed facility by 1979; and, WHEREAS, this new facility would increase hospital accessibility to the retiree population west of 1-95; and, WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners, by unanimous vote on April 19, 1977, expressed its support of said hospital, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Delray Beach City Council supports the applica- tion for a certificate of need for the projected Delray General Hospital west of Delray Beach, Florida, and directs that a certified copy of this resolution be sent to the United Stated Department of Health, Education and Welfare for its. consideration.
