A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLA-
TION OF GOALS, SCOREBOARD AND BLEACHER EQUIPMENT FOR
POMPEY PARK RECREATION CENTER.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City
Council award a contract for the purchase and installation of goals, score-
board and bleacher equipment for Pompey Park; and,
WHEREAS, three quotations were submitted as follows:
1. Diversified Designs Enterprises $ 35,194.00
Boca Raton, Florida
2. U. S. Games $ 37,420.50
Melbourne, Florida
3. Wimer Stubbs (bleachers only) $ 16,253.00
Deland, Florida
WHEREAS, the equipment in the first two quotations meets the specifi-
cations of the City and the third quotation does not meet the City's speci-
fications and the City Manager recommends that the City of Delray Beach
enter into a contract with the low bidder, DiVersified Designs Enterprises,
for purchase and installation of the equ~ment; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the award of this contract would
be in the best interest of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That said contract for the purchase and installation of
goals, scoreboard and bleacher equipment for Pompey Park Recreation Center
be awarded to Diversified Designs Enterprises in the amount of $35,194.00.
Section 2. That funding for said project shall be received from Palm
Beach County from the 1978-79 Community Development Funds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 23rd day of
