A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION
OF A CONTRACT TO FURNISH LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND
MATERIAL TO REPAIR AND CORRECT PAVEMENT AND STORM
DRAINAGE PROBLEMS AT SOUTHWEST SECOND STREET IN
THIS CITY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY SPECIFICATIONS
AS INDICATED ON THE QUOTATION FORM.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the Council,
acting by authority of provisions of Section 78 of the City's Charter, award
a contract to furnish labor, equipment, and material to repair and correct
pavement and storm drainage problems at Southwest Second Street in this
City, in accordance with City Specifications as indicated on the quotation
form, and
WHEREAS, of the seven quotations requested, three were submitted in
the amounts of:
Oneman Engineering Company $2,773.00
Delray Beach, Florida
Lyons Construction Company $3,850.00
Pompano Beach, Florida
Asphalt Paving Company $4,873.75
West Palm Beach, Florida
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Office certifies the quoted prices to be
reasonable and the City Manager recommends that the City cf Delray Beach
enter into a contract with Oneman Engineering Company, Delray Beach, Florida
to furnish labor, equipment, and material to repair and correct pavement
and storm drainage problems at Southwest Second Street in this City, in
accordance with City Specifications as indicated on the quotation form,
WHICH COMPANY submitted the lowest quotation in the amount of
$2,773.00, and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's opinion that the award of this contract
would be in the best interest of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said contract to furnish labor, equipment, and
material to repair and correct pavement and storm drainage problems at
Southwest Second Street in this City, in accordance with City Specifications
as indicated on the quotation form, be awarded to Oneman Engineering Company,
Delray Beach, Florida, in the amount of $2,773.00.
SECTION 2. That this improvement shall be funded from the 1970 Storm
Drainage Bond Issue.
