Res 66-74 RESOLUTION NO. 66-74. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, RELATIVE TO THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION BI-CENTENNIAL CELEBRAT ION. WHEREAS, the United States of America is to have its Bi-Centennial Celebration in 1976; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, is desirous that the citizens of the City participate and have a part in the Bi-Centennial Celebration; and, ~-~EREAS, it is the judgment of the City Council that said partici- pation can best be accomplished under the auspices of the Greater Delray Chamber of Commerce of the City of Delray Beach, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council requests the Greater Delray Chamber of Commerce of the City of Delray Beach to appoint five or more persons to serve on the Delray Beach Bi-Centennial Celebration Committee, said Committee to cooperate and work with civic organizations and other groups within the City and persons and committees designated by the County of Palm Beach, the State of Florida and the United States of America in making arrangements for and assisting in the carrying out of the Bi-Centennial Celebration to be held in 1976. Section 2. The City Clerk shall furnish copies of this Resolution to Col. Clinton W. Effinger, III, Palm Beach County, the Greater Delray Chamber of Commerce of the City of Delray Beach, the State Bi-Centennial Commission, and all other interested parties.
