A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMENDING COLONEL EMMETT
C. LEE, JR. AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF
ENGINEERS FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SERVICE IN THE
COMPLETION OF THE 1973 BEACH RESTORATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the 1973 Beach Restoration Program of the City of
Delray Beach required the cooperation of the Citizens of Delray Beach,
the Board of Commissioners of Palm Beach County, the State of Florida,
and the United States Government; and,
WHEREAS, Colonel Emmett C. Lee, Jr. and the United States Army
Corps of Engineers contributed in a most valuable manner to the suc-
cess of the Beach Restoration Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. In honor and with sincere appreciation of the dedicated
public service rendered by Colonel Emmett C. Lee, Jr. and
the United States Army Corps of Engineers toward the suc-
cessful completion of the Beach Restoration Program, the
City Council of the City of Delray Beach hereby commends
Colonel Emmett C. Lee, Jr. and the United States Army
Corps of Engineers' invaluable contribution to the general
welfare of the City of Delray Beach.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon, and become
a part of the permanent records of the City of Delray Beach.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be furnished to Colonel Emmett
C. Lee, Jr. and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
