Res 1447-63 RESOLUTION NO. 1447. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR EXCHANGE OF CITY OWNED LANDS FOR LANDS OWNED BY PRIVATE PARTIES. WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach, a municipal cor- poration, is the owner of the following described lands, to The North 77 feet of the South 312 feet of the West 135 feet of Block 14, City of De]ray Beach; which lands, in the opinion of the City Council, are not needed for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, JOHN R. EVANS and BELLE S. EVANS, his wife, are the owners of the following described lands, to wit: The East 50 feet of the West 85 feet of the South 135 feet of Block 14, City of Delray Beach; which lands the City desires to acquire for municipal pur- poses; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council, it is for the best interests of the City that the lands above described owned by it be exchanged for the lands above described owned by JOHN R. EVANS and BELLE S. EVANS, his wife; and WHEREAS, a notice setting forth the terms and condi- tions of the above described exchange of real property was pub- lished once a week for two weeks in the Delray Beach News- Journal as required by Section 7 (2) (b) (1) of the Charter of the City of Delray Beach, Florida; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the above described psmcel of land owned by the City of Delray Beach, not needed for city purposes, be ex- changed for the property described above owned by JOHN R. EVANS and BELLE S.EVANS, his wife, and as a further consideration, the City of Delray Beach will also assume and satisfy a street improvement lien in the amount of $125.30 which is on record against the property hereinabove last described.
